Historical note

Joseph Sgizetti was a Hungarian-born violinist who emigrated to the United States in 1939 and toured extensively as a concert violinist. Joseph Levine was a pianist and conductor who studied with Joseph Hofmann and Fritz Reiner at the Curtis Institute of Music, graduating in 1937.
